I would recommend this. You don't get things that often, but they are really interesting surveys and product tests. And the Luncheon Vouchers are always useful.

Just a tip, it may be worth copy and pasting the link in your browser so that all traffic isn't traced back to here, they get a bit annoyed when the link is posted on forums.
Wouldn't like to see anyone dropped because of this.

Dear Panellist,
PineCone Research is ready to expand and we need your help.
We have immediate openings for MUMS OF BABIES 3 1/2 YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER.
Do you know of households that meet this description that would like to join the PineCone Research Panel? REMEMBER THAT ONLY ONE PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD MAY REGISTER. Multiple registrations of the same Household will void all registrations.
I get nothing for doing this

It is just to see whether you qualify next survey, I have never been paid for them. Heres a quote:
PineCone members are not compensated for the household questions (requests ending in 3001) that you may be asked to complete. Your responses to these brief 2-5 minute questionnaires enable us to send you product evaluations, which are paid, that are more specific to your household.

If you get some screens up after doing a survey, after the normal screens that ask you if you'd participate in product testing, that then go on to give you further product information and contact names and numbers etc. for the manufacturers, does that mean you've been selected to do a product test... ?I've never had that before, nor have I had a product test.
How exciting... I might be a guinea pig

Does not work that way with them, you have to find an illusive advert and apply to them, adverts are only up for a few days now and again.

I would always tell the truth as the manufacturers want to know if there is something that might stop their product selling so when you complete the survey be as specific as possible. For example, I wouldnt just say the product is rubbish but might say 'the showergel did not lather up well and left my skin feeling very dry. Also the frangrance was very weak and unpleasant so I definitely wouldnt buy this product.' hth :)

Pinecone are one of the best survey companies to work for. You get paid £4 either by paypal or in luncheon vouchers (you choose), for a survey that usually takes around 15-20 minutes.
They just don't like people posting links for signing up for some reason. You aren't allowed to discuss anything you do for them either, but I think that goes for all survey sites.
If you happen to find a Pinecone link, then it's worth signing up for them.

I am pretty sure that there is a small fee (30p?? or 50p) if you withdraw less than £50 from your paypall account.

I had email off them tonight reminding me that I can get paid into paypal, but I prefer the LV's, easy for me to save them towards airport spends at Boots etc. Besides I dont like the way paypal charge you to receive funds and to withdraw under £50 like 80934 says

Thanks to both of you, if paypal are going to charge me to receive the £4 and then charge if I want to withdraw it(under £50) then there's not alot left of my £4 ,is there!!! Cheek.

I joined Pinecone about 2 1/2 months ago, did my first survey a couple weeks later and received my LV's.... everything good.
However I have done 4 more surveys since and not received any more LV's, the earliest one was mid-May,
This thread seems to say that the LVs arrive in a few days, is anyone else waiting a few weeks to receive the LV's?
I have sent an email over the weekend, stating the dates I completed the surveys.

I actually prefer luncheon vouchers. In the local Tesco Metro stores, Sainsburys and Morrisons these are the only coupons they normally accept without buying a specific product, apart from their own store coupons. Waitrose take them too.

I'm saving my LV towards my Xmas big shop, only £24 so far but every little helps.
That's exactly what I do. Tesco can't quibble over those and only say 5 vouchers. The only downside is it takes forever to scan through all the luncheon vouchers
tiger
24th June 2008, 14:44
I don't like the way that Tesco put them through as coupons. To me they're money I've earned.
I was surprised last time I used some. The SA put them through as one lot for £4 which is the way that Morrisons do it.

24th June 2008, 14:57
It was like tesco chinese whispers with the last lot i spent
I went to cs and asked if i could use LV's ..the SA asked the CS woman who said yes we take those...
did my shop and handed them over to the young SA.. she says i'm not sure if we take those...I said i'd just asked at CS and she said it was fine..
The girl then asked the older SA on the next till who said yes i'm sure we take those but i'll ask the supervisor.. supervisors says i'm sure we do but i'll ask CS
CS said yes it's fine he's already asked
Supervisor comes back and says to older SA yes it's ok.. older SA says to young SA yes it's fine.. she looks at me and says yes we do
Then she was trying to scan the large barcode which obviously would't scan so i say ..it's the small barcode
she scanned them all and then says with a smile... do you work at tesco
I said nope but sometimes i feel like i do ;)

They aren't recruiting at the moment Aardvaak, as far as I know.
If ever you see an advert for them, click on it straight away as even when they do recruit it's not for long.
Sometimes people get asked to refer people and if they do they often post on here so it's just a matter of luck and keeping your eyes open.

During the registration procedure and/or as part of a Nielsen//NetRatings online research survey, we request certain socio-demographic information, such as name, mailing address, email address, date of birth, sex, occupation, level of education, and annual income, about you and other members of your household. Once you have registered to join the panel and our panel software has been installed on your computer, we will automatically collect other information, including personally identifiable information, from you and all others in your household because our software allows us to comprehensively track panelists' computers and panelists' activity on their computers, online and on the Internet. For example, we collect information on the type, name and use of some of the applications, files and hardware on your computer, the address and content of the web sites you visit, the date and duration of the web sites you visit, the Internet Service Provider being used and the details of any transaction entered into over the Internet (including during secure sessions).Depending on the types of web sites you visit, this may include financial transaction information, health care information and other types of sensitive information. We may be able to collect information contained in the title bars at the top of any "window" that is active on your computer, depending on the application. I had trouble finding places that would accept them, either that or I lost them :( so I get paid by paypal now

thanks guys for the quick responses, tbh I don't want to get paid via paypal because there is always something I can find on there to use my funds on !
but with the luncheon vouchers I was hoping to save them up for christmas then used them in store as cash, which sounds like its ok to do

Welshy how about spending them now and using the equivalent amount of cash to buy saving stamps? You get £50 for 49 £1 stamps and also it's only one transaction rather than handing over lots of £1 & 50p LVs.

I've used them in M&S too.

Welshy I've used mine in our local Tesco (CX) no problem, also used them in Asda down the Bay aswell.
On the back of the booklet is a list of some of the places, I think places like Wetherspoons, Pizza Hut are on there aswell :D

Tried to use 2 x £1 in an M&S store yesterday. Cashier said they didn't take them at that branch anymore. Checked with customer services and it was confirmed.
I have used LVs at 2 different branches of M&S in the past.
Next time I want to use them in a different branch I will check with CS first.

Hi,
I am a total newbie on here so apologies for just diving in!
I have signed up on a few survey sites in the past but got fed up with them due to several different factors but mainly the getting part way and being told i am not 'suitable' or they have 'enough participants' etc...
The pinecone research site sounds great & obviously pays out well etc but i cannot get into it anyhow so just wondered whether any kind person would be able to help me out with referring me or sending me a link etc...
Ooooooooooh just realised i have two etc's in one email! :der:
Thanks in advance!

I used the link on http://mysurveys.110mb.com/ which I am sure is quoted on this thread somewhere. If not then it was for another company.

I exchanged 7 x £4 booklets today in morrisons for savings stamps for Christmas so that's another £28 to add to my savings card. Did think of using them at christmas at the tills but figured it would be a nightmare handing over the booklets to already stressed out cashiers

I signed up and was accepted about a month ago, how long does it take for them to send you surveys to complete?
