I have lived i my crocs for the last 2 summers and my feet hate this time of year when i have to go back to my trainers/timberland boots,i did invest in a pair of uggs a few weeks ago, wearing them as we speak, and omg after years of fake uggs you really cant beat the real thing!!! But my ingrowing toe nail is still only at its most comfy in crocs so i guess i will have to look into the above crocs a bit closer!!

Someone told me about these back in the summer(!) as they are in the Next catalogue.
I have a post-it note on December's page in the calendar and it says "Mum/Wife's Christmas List - Crocs - fur lined, black, size 7" plus "step ladder" (for the garden, nightmare trying to get those big ladders up). So they can't trot out the "didn't know what to buy you" line!
God, I've only just realised how easily pleased I am!
Crocs and Uggs - luv 'em both:D

Anyone going to Florida soon who wants to buy me some? :D
Might have to consider them, my foot problem is ongoing, so going to be in my crocs some considerable time, and my feet are getting flipping freezing. WILL NOT wear them with socks (other than in the house of course), they look ridiculous enough already!

You might get away with some of those pop sock thingys, if in a natural colour.

I've got the cheap version of the ballerina pump crocs, and i must admit i do wear them with socks (black crocs, black socks and black trousers). They look fine, you can't really tell they are plastic unless you look too close. They are unbelievably comfy, so i'll be buying the proper ballerina crocs when i see some.
Just found these, so i'm going to have to treat myself...

Are they as cushioned on the sole as the normal clog type crocs? Its the cushioning I need at the moment.

My 3 year old and 19month old girls have worn Crocs all Summer, and they love them. (3 year old is still wearing them......... she won't give them up!!!)
I'm not sure if I like the furry version, I can't help but smile when I look at the picture, they look strange!!! (A bit like me I suppose!!!)
Might see if DD wants a pair??!!

Might be nicer if they do a black version for winter..

Yes they are cushioned, and are so light too. Mine are black and you wouldn't really know they were plastic unless you looked fairly closely ish

But I do think that those new winter crocs are ugly... they remind me of old ladies sheepskin slippers.

I have to admit to wearing Crocs all summer as well and now I also have to admit to wearing them with socks too.
I lived in Switzerland for a while so I think I adopted their work shoe ethic, they have a pair of work shoes that stay at work (usually Birkenstocks!) so I now, in this bad weather, wear my normal shoes to work and then change into the Crocs for the day.
Makes such a difference comfort wise.
I dont like the furry ones but I have just bought a pair of Troika crocs which are meant for winter.

Hi
Sorry :o, I should have posted a link to show what the Troika looked like but I was short of time from work! I bought mine in the US as I have just come back from holiday.
If anyone is wanting to order some, just a little warning, I normally take the W8 size but had to get the W9 in this style as it is not as wide or as long as the Cayman. However, I do have a slightly wide foot. Also the strap at the back is softer and not as loose as with the Cayman and actually holds against your ankle.
I got the black ones and really like them.

I got 2 pairs of mammoth crocs today. They're fab but you need the next size up from your usual size. All crocs stockists are apparently waiting for stock and I didn't think I'd get any but I popped into Next and they had them :clap2:

I have the boot type version, no lining and you can wear loads of socks, which you dont need as they are very warm. They are called Georgie boots, fantastic, colours that I know about are red, pink, black and blue.
Even come in their own little drawstring bag.

Thanks Flookie, I have just ordered 2 pairs of the lined ones, 1 of each colour, plus some other bits to use my £50 off £100 code!! Can't wait for them to arrive.

Just a word of warning - if you are going to search for Littlewoods' codes - I read in yesterday's paper that they are claiming back £75,000 from "customers" who have used an unauthorised code.
Apparently they released a £25 code off £50 order and the code flooded the net - but Littlewoods are on to them and want the money back if code wasn't issued to you.

I couldn't bring myself to buy the winter crocs but I did invest in the autumn Alice crocs. They are extremely lightweight and I really want them to like me, but at the moment they give me blisters - however I shall keep trying. I miss my summer croc flipflops!

Back on the subject of fluffy crocs, mine are the best purchase I ever made. Flookie, if you see this, have you worked out how to take the lining out to wash it, or do you have to wash the whole shoe?
Was in asda today, they are selling fluffy croc type shoes for £6! Think they may be kids, as could only fond them in 3/4 and 5/6. If I'd found 6/7 or 7/8 I'd have bought them all!

15th January 2008, 21:56
mine are my best ever purchase too. I can't work out how I don't get wet feet when it's raining but for the first time ever I've not suffered with cold feet at this time of year and I haven't been wearing socks
Ladyshopper
15th January 2008, 21:59
Its because the holes at the side aren't actually open, only the holes on top are, so as long as the puddle you stand in is shallow you won't get wet feet!
They are the most comfy shoes ever, but I get so many odd looks when I wear them at work!
flookie
15th January 2008, 22:26
The croc logo's at the side are actually a button,so you have to ease the sock out.Hang on and i will go and have a go with mine,i havent actually took them out yet. Back in a mo.............
flookie
15th January 2008, 22:28
Yup definatley a button, just wiggle the sock over the button and voila!!! Bit more difficult to get back on though!
Ladyshopper

Aha, I hadn't had that close a look, thanks!
Mine definitely need a wash, as I keep wearing them without socks, so get a bit sweaty!

Do you have buy a size bigger than your usual shoe size, I'm sure I read this somewhere and seeing as I am finally going to get a pair just wanted to check.

It makes them more comfy if they are a bit bigger, especially with the furry lining.I am a 6 but have a 7 in both the normal crocs and the mammoths.

I've got a pair of candy pink and oatmeal mammoths that were a Christmas present. I love Crocs, and love the idea of mammoths, but I'm not a pink shoe sort of girl. I'll be sticking them on ebay next week, unless anyone would like them. I'm a size 6, but the sizes on the soles say M6 W8, but there is no way they are an 8.
