How do I join?
Click on the the Quidco link (http://quidco.com)and it will take you to their website.
How you are paid
Quidco take the first £5 a member receives in a year to go towards administration costs. The rest of the money you earn is paid at the end of each month (however you are able to select a minimum amount that you would like to be paid out on). The cashback will either be credited to your Paypal account or directly into your bank account using BACS (there is a small 5p charge for this).

you can check this by clicking boots on the quidco site and read the stats. :)

Know what you mean about cookies - lost £9 on first order from Ink Club as being a technophobe thought cookies were what you had wth milk! When I sent earnings query to QUIDCO was told that "unfortunately your enquiry has been unsuccessful. The affiliate network investigated and found that this transaction was credited to a site other than quidco. This probably occurred because you had competing cookies on your computer. For help on how to prevent this please have a look at www.quidco.com/help/77 Kind regards, Quidc" - I was gutted.....

Oh I wish I'd read this thread before using Quidco for the first time last week.
I ordered a new hoover costing £179.99 and went through Quidco hoping to get the cashback (it was bought through Comet). The transaction isn't listed on my Quidco account so I guess that's because I had visited Comet to find the hoover then went onto Quidco to order without clearing my cookies? :(
Would've been a nice amount of cashback too surely?

You may find where you've clicked from a competing site it has nicked you're transaction!
After 14 days you can put in an enquiry for the transaction and you could get the cashback if Comet decide in you're favour!

Do you have to use the same computer to be able to track cashback or can you use any computer. I ask because on one of the merchants it says only 1 click from a ip address.
So will I get cashback if I use, say the computer from work?

pretty much, yes.
This is acknowledgement that quidco sent you to Goldfish on a given date or time.
also where on the quidco site can i find the dropdown menu of sites i have been on, thanks great help rep on the way:D
Everything in that list is where you have clicked a link from Quidco.
E.g. I had never clicked Goldfish before and it wasn't in my list, until a few minutes ago when i tried it.
If it has an acknowleged the date and time & you've signed up I wouldn't worry.
It has a 99% tracking rate.
And if it doesn't validate soon, at least quidco will know they sent you there so you can raise a ticket with your account details.
In short, be patient.

Hello Hagman
My Goldfish application took about 10~12 days to track.
My tracking may have taken a little longer because of
1. I had to phone Goldfish to confirm application
2. Xmas holiday period
Like deviously sarcastic says just be patient, if it doesn't show after a given time then raise an enquiry with Quidco.
Happy cashbacking anyway! :D

Hi dee234,
You can use Paypal if you don't want to use BACS, but as deviouslysarcastic pointed out, that's limited to £50 payout. There's more information on the payment methods here (http://www.quidco.com/help/9/).
Should you decide to use BACS payment, I feel extremely confident in saying that your bank details are safe with Quidco. The company details & privacy policy are on the website, and I think this quote from the Quidco Etiquette page on the site says it all, "We really believe that integrity, honesty, and transparency is a core requirement for all of us."
I'm not just saying this because I work for Quidco. My husband's been a Quidco member for several months, and he was quite happy to set up BACS payment into our current account long before I was hired. :)

no sounds like that is a roll number - is it a Halifax mortgage?
you should be able to get sort code and account number from your broker so that you can pay it direct

No its c and g - it soes state account number next to it - have split it now into sortcode and account number - matched the amount of digits needed for both, will keep an eye on it though in case over payments dont happen. Thanks

Hi sunflower,
Did you email Dixons or submit an earnings enquiry to Quidco for the missing transaction?
If you followed all the points here (http://www.quidco.com/help/77/) & here (http://www.quidco.com/help/56/), as well as the items listed on the Dixon's link (as they list a lot of items that aren't eligible for cashback), then please submit an earnings enquiry for the missing transaction through the help pages I linked to.

Hi Carol I wonder if you could help me? I have booked a holiday with Thomson Holidays and it only tracked at £5. The total holiday cost is £2414 so I put an earnings enquiry in for the wrong amount. I have had it refused and I have now realised that maybe this is because I haven't paid the full amount due yet only the deposit of £375? I never thought that just paying the deposit would affect it, and if so I will be paying the full amount on Monday next week? Do you think there is any chance of receiving the rest once I have paid in full which would be about £42? Many thanks

Just a quick question :)
I have opened a savings account, and want to change my account details, so my Quidco money is paid to it.
As it is a building society account - they have given me a sort code and bank account number, but I also have to quote the savings account number.
There is only an option for the name of account holder - can I put my name and then the savings account number in brackets?

You would need a bank savings account and not a building society one I believe for a BACS payment. So its standard sort code and account number.
You should be able to do it into a A&L or HSBC one for extra cashback.

Hi Orla,
A&L use an internal number that is one digit longer than standard. If you call them, they should be able to give you the number in a format that will work with BACS.

Hi thehagman,
An earnings enquiry gets sent to the merchant so they can investigate whether it's a valid sale via the Quidco referral. Help tickets, on the other hand, are for other questions and are answered by our support team. They don't get sent to the merchant.

I believe from other discussions I've seen to be no, as its a discount off an item rather than being payed for doing it.

Is quidco the best option for cashback or should I be comparing other cashback sites as well?
If the car insurance is in my name & the home insurance in OH's name do I have to go through our individual accounts, we do have an account each, I'm assuming the account quidco account has to be in the name of the policy holder, is that correct?
I know I have to clear cookies, is that basically it or is there anything else I need to make sure I do?
Thanks in advance for any help.:)

On MSE there is a cashback site comparison tool - you put in the merchant name and it tells you what is available
I don't think it matters about the names being the same as the account names, but it might be best to check with Carol form Quico on the other thread

Hi HELLO_KITTY, I think BACS stands for Banking Automated Clearing System. It's an electronic system in which Quidco make your payments into your bank account. There is more information in our Help section under "All About Payments."

Kitty - All Quidco would need would be your account number and sort code in order to do a BACS payment. it's really simple and usually reaches your account in about 3 working days.
Ref Paypal - have a look on their site for more info, but if I remember correctly, from 9th of July they're lifting sending limits on personal accounts.

Hello All...my paps did a transaction through Quidco, ensured everything was tickety-boo t&c-wise & that it was a 'sureshop', and it tracked on the day no probs, but was declined (or whatever the status was that made him send a ticket.
So couple weeks after the transaction he submitted a ticket, double checking he did everything ok, and providing relevant ref no's. etc. It then immediately updated as approved.
But today was declined, and seems rather final - no email or ticket can be replied, no method of appeal - what should he do? Lie down & take it?

your gala can take up to 14 days. Make a note of the time and date and if it hasn't shown after 14 days put an enquiry in

I know a few people have mentioned it before - however its worth having a seperate browser just for Quidco - I have a firefox browser that I only ever use for Quidco - and have had no tracking problems since doing this
I have just installed firefox and bought some breakdown insurance via quidco. I shopped around in internet explorer beforehand to find the best deal. I didn't delete the cookies as I thought by using a completely separate browser for quidco (and only for quidco) I wouldn't need to do this. Have I made a mistake? TIA.

What happens if a transaction doesn't track ?
I did a large Viking Direct order yesterday (delivered today) over £300 and it hasn't showed up, I've never had a problem with Viking before always tracks and validates within hours.

Dune you're a star :D
Followed the link and the transaction is in there where you put the enquiry through. Put my mind at rest, I thought I'd done it wrong.

I bought two tickets from Qantas on 13th August. There are FOUR lines showing Qantas for that date, all showing 'tracked' but £0.00.
Any thoughts?
I thought I would wait till we come back from Oz and then query it as I guess we could cancel the flights and get a refund at the present time.

some transaction track at zero and then update and some don't update
you could always put a ticket in and ask the question
click on ticket and then click.... Have a question? Send us a contact ticket

Did you pay when you booked?
It might be tracking the amount you paid?
When you pay deposit and balance you do need to go through Quidco for each individual one

Hi, any help would be appreciated.
I have gone through quidco for BG Homecare as a new customer and it has tracked immediately at £0.00 and also validated immedaiatelyat £0.00. (It should be paying at £40.00) Does anybody know why this is ? Has it been refused or will it update later maybe?
the previous owner had a contract with them but this should not affect my application should it?
Any comments would be helpful , thank you

JB - don't worry - transactions often do this on Quidco and it will update later to the correct amount.
A bit late, Dom, but the Qantas one will take forever. My £3K purchase didn't track until 2 months after we returned from oz and is currently validated at 0.00. I've been onto Quidco and they reckon they will be paying up at the end of this month....but can't say how much.

o.k thanks, Freebird - it's only that I have read elsewhere that others have validated immediately at the £40.00
will keep an eye on it !!

hi all-couple of daft questions from a novice so please be gentle with me.
I have just joined quidco.
When you log on and it says enter site to earn cashback (in the green box i think) is that all i need to do?
I have added my paypal details to the account.
Also last night i did a trial run-followed the link to ebay and bought something for £2-i know it should be a tiny amount but nothing is showing in my earnings?
I am often to be found shopping on ebay and as i sell a few bits as well if i just use the money sitting in my paypal account to buy things would i still get cashback on this?

So long as you log in and click through to wherever from Quidco it should track. If you've accidentally logged out you will get a warning that you're not earning
Tracking is not instant for most things - can be minutes to weeks and Ebay is not one of the best trackers. I think it has to be an auction win for Ebay

I know this is a daft question... I have been using Quidco for ages now and quite like the new format. BUT -- I can't read the support messages. I've tried in both IE and Firefox. I can't seem to be able to paste in the relevant bit of my screen but I think I have managed to attach it to this message. There seem to be no hyperlinks or anything. Am I going dotty at last, or can someone help please? (As you'll see, I asked Quidco, but they just sent me a message about it...)

What's the difference between "validated" and "tracked"?
Got 3 things validated and one tracking at present.

Tracking means it's still being 'tracked' with the company and then when it has it goes to 'validated' and then at some point it will go to 'received' and at that point if you look under payments it should say when it's going to get paid.

Tracked*
The same as 'Tracked' except this merchant will not explicitly validate your transaction. Unless it is denied, this transaction will next change to received when payment is received from the merchant.
If you look under 'Glossary' on the help it has all the different explanations there. :)

Sorry all - but memory gone to pot now that old age is kicking in :o
Can anyone please remind me of how long transactions usually take to track with quidco?? I bought car insurance yesterday and no sign of it in my transactions - but from memory I thought things usually tracked straight away and then took forever to validate - but as I haven't used quidco since last Feb everything is a bit of a blur!!!
Thanks in advance.
(Defo cleared cookies etc before logging into quidco and going through to esure).

Usually within 48 hours. Have you checked it hasn't tracked in at 0.00
Things do.
You now have to wait 30 days before an enquiry!

I've got this as well on 3 items and Quidco said it could take up to 6 months to finally validate  Very worried incase it goes to denied after this length of time

I bought Aviva home insurance on 1st Jan, and it says takes up to 4 months to track, so I never submitted a cashback claim b4 the usual 45 days. Now it won't let me?!!! Any ideas what to do now.

I would post your question here for the quidco rep

i find it strange that the tracking time would be longer than the enquiry limit
