Anyone know where I can get hold of some legal advice? I tried citizens advice but they were useless and said they can't help. So I'm stranded and can't afford a solicitor at the rates they charge.
Is there a site where we can ask on a forum on legal matters? It's a horrible thing to be thinking about at Christmas but thanks if anyone can help :)

What sort of legal advice is it you are seeking?
If you are happy to post that, someone maybe able to help you further.
I believe a lot of solicitors offer the first 30mins free, so that might be ok to get you started....

Thanks for the replies, the question is actually about legal aid and the statutory charge - I understand that if the charge is going to cause significant hardship they won't apply the charge to the house, but I can't get any sense from the LSC as they aren't listening to that point. Anyone know what I should say to make them listen because in all honesty I think a team of trained monkeys could do a better job than them! :D
Merry Christmas to you all :)

Only thing I can think of doing is Googling your problem - "legal aid", "statutory charge" or even "free legal advice online".
Good Luck.

Yeah I guess so, the way they dress Legal aid you'd think it was there to help people but it isn't.
