don't get me started on that film.
WHY OH WHY did they burn books when they were surrounded by wooden furniture?
they even broke chairs to make snow shoes and threw the left over wood in the corner and put more books on the fire.

Don't know why I am thinking about this now................ perhaps they knew the wood was treated and therefore was safer to burn the books rather than risk any toxicitiy from the treated wood?
I DON'T KNOW!
Am a bit of a disaster film addict so I loved it!

We've just had about half an hour of snow, but it has stopped now; I am in Yorkshire. On the local news it has forecast heavy snow for tomorrow afternoon, in particular on the North York Moors and over the Pennines.
Woohoo. I could be making a snowman tomorrow. :star-smiley:

But where would they have sat? On the cold floor?? I suppose they could have fashioned a chair out of books.... :D
