I was wondering ... as many of us want to go Oct/Nov 2009 , if anyone who has recently been to I of A has seen the building work and how it is coming along ??.
I have checked on the website and they are still saying possibly 2010 for opening.
It would be good if we could all get the chance to experience what is going to be AMAZING imao. :clap2:
Anyone have any more info or idea ??

Not really. Harry Potter isn't going to be a 'new' area. They are just remodelling 'The Lost Continent' area of the park.

IOA is Islands of Adventure, one of the two Universal Theme Parks. Most fun park for those wanting the 'thrill' rides.

What website are you checking on? We're thinking of going in 2010 but will only go if the HP site is up and running.

The official site http://www.universalorlando.com/harrypotter/index.html is saying that it will be late 2009, early 2010. I'll see if I can get some inside info!

I'm a simple Northern lad - my first thought was Isle of Anglesey. To be fair, the last time I was there, there were some scary people wandering about mumbling in a strange language, ah, no, wait, that's the Welsh

Nothing has been closed as yet. They have a relatively small area sectioned off next to an existing ride (Flying Unicorn). Universal are not saying what will be included but it is possible that the Flying Unicorn and Dueling Dragon roller coaster will be re-themed.
