Hello,

Being a newbie to this clubcard deals, I was looking at booking a cruise for August 2009.

Can someone tell me how do book?

Can I book now?

Can I pay deposit with vouchers and then pay off later with more vouchers?

Cheers

Hello,

Being a newbie to this clubcard deals, I was looking at booking a cruise for August 2009. Good idea! Cunard and P&O are signed up to deals.

Can someone tell me how do book? Yes, look on the deals website and there is usually a PDF associated with each offer that gives full details, here's the Cunard one (http://www.tesco.com/CLUBCARD/DEALS/PRODUCTINFOSHEETS/S6044.PDF) for instance.

Can I book now? Provided you have sufficient points and the holiday is available.

Can I pay deposit with vouchers and then pay off later with more vouchers? Not normally, you generally have to pay in full with vouchers.

Cheers

The current P&O brochure only goes upto March 09. The new brochure should be out in April and you will be able to book in May - not that I'm waiting or anything!

The new P&O brochure is due out around april 10th.

I suspect Cunard will be about the same time.

Not sure yet Rach! Going on a 7 night cruise this August, depends how many extra deals I can get between now and May posting I suppose. To be honest, I don't minbd, just love cruises lol!

As a regular cruiser with P&O I was very pleased to see that Tesco were now including P&O in their deals until I looked into the pricing. To make use of the deals you have to book through a specific telephone number and I think you will find the price quoted a lot higher that what you can get from a specialist cruise travel Agent or even a high street travel agent. I always aim to get a least 10% of the price breaker brochure price plus other deals such as on board credit or free car parking. If you have most of the cost of your cruise covered with Deals Tokens it is probably worth booking through the Tesco P&O number but if you only have a few it is probably better to try for a Travel Agents discount. Just be careful and do the maths.

Good point Hector, but I think that is true with all the deal offers, certainly for holidays at least. I love P&O Cruises too!

Just to say that the P&O 2009 cruises are due to start selling on April 14th.

Online agents will probably have prices and itinerarys before then but sales will not start until April 14th, though the agents will take advance bookings so that they can phone P&O on the day sales start.

Put back a bit due to the launch of Ventura the week before.

I'm hoping to book a one week cruise on ventura or oceana for 2 adults and 2 children for either May 09 half term or August 09 school holidays.

Does anyone know what an average price will be for this. I've got ?2,650 in deals and am hoping this will cover it.

I can't get an idea of family prices for 2008 even as all school hols have now sold out.
