I agree M & S are among the best rate on the high street. You can log on to their web site and check the rates each day.

You will find it very hard to beat www.travelex.co.uk for exchange rates.
We always order from these guys and pick them up at the airport on the way out. If you order online then you get the best rate possible.
Also have you got a Nationwide Flex Account or Credit Card as they don't make any charges for using abroad?

We normally just use the PO for convenience, no charges and I think their rate is competitive.

There are no charges with the others and the rate is higher than the PO.

All depends on what rates you can secure, for example we got US$ for 2.09 with Travelex, no commission etc etc. For the transactions we put through our Nationwide Flex Card we only got 1.90 because the rates had dropped on that particular day!
If you tend to watch the rates I think that you generally get a good feel for what a good rate is!
