Off for my OP today

I'm off in an hour for my op on my foot, so will be out of action for tescoing for weeks, don't know how I'm going to cope with that :rolleyes:, but on the up side I might be able to wear some decent shoes at last but do have to have another op next year for my foot to look normalish again and might even be able to wear boots in the winter instead of sandals and have warm feet instead of cold ones (oh will be pleased). I just know that I will be pain as I'm having the bones shorten on first 3 toes and next year having the bone lengthen connected to my big toe so much for the bunion op I had 18 months ago that didn't work :(, my foot looks like a war zone with all the scars, my stomach is churning just at the thought of it all. :eek:

Thanks everyone,so do I Sienna if this goes wrong as well I will be gutted, must go for a shower before OH comes to pick me up to take me, and hopefully everyone on the ward tonight sleeps and there's no howling to keep me awake, will be coming home tomorrow morning and am dreading not being able to walk or get out and about.

Good Luck! The only thing that kept me relatively sane at night was a walkman a friend had leant me. At least it dulled the groand and moans and nurses wandering around.....

You know you're going to have a great time really, don't you! :D After all, people always say to stay in hospital and rest :eek:

Back home now, not sure how the op has gone but have lots of lovely pain but lots of painkillers to go with it, didn't even see the doctor before they discharged me he just saw the nurse and gave her my sick note to give to me, next appointment will be approx 2 weeks so will see the doc then and see how it went.

No chance of ever running again after my accident 3 years ago as my ankle doesn't bend as it should any more but hopefully will be able to walk longer than an hour and not be in so much pain. :)
