What is the software you can get that places your bid in the closing seconds of an auction?....and how do I get it!
Lost a few auctions in last few days to someone with this and it's blinking annoying.......:censored:

they say it's free, but bits are nobbled when you are using the free version and I think you only have a certain amount of uses per month.

i use auctionstealer.com, have found it 100% reliable, I also use the free version which only gives you 3 auctions at a time, but that's enough for me.

I use Auctionsniper.com regularly. I pay fees but they are very small - a $5 top up last me ages and you don't pay if you don't win.
Very occasionally , the site seems to have a 'wobbly' and doesn't place your bids but when I have queried it, they were doing site upgrades.
Overall, very reliable and saves you hanging round for the last minute of an auction. It places your bid around 5 secs before the end and sends you E Mail warnings if you are outbid

I guess I must be the only person who thinks of a figure and sticks to it (for the most part!)

No, I use Auctionsniper for that. Just decide my top line as soon as I spot the item , stick it in Auctionsniper and forget it. It stops anyone else bidding the item up to find out what your top line is because they don't even know you're interested.
I've never done it but apparently you can place bids on various auctions for the same item and it will stop when you win one of them.

Be careful with Next vouchers. My one and only fraudulent transaction on EBAY (out of about 500) was someone selling Next vouchers

It was a Buy It Now and I bought it now and paid!. The day after I got a long winded E Mail from 'fraud prevention department', or something like that on EBAY advising me that the item had been withdrawn, sellers' privileges cancelled and if I had paid to claim my money back from the seller or Paypal or my credit card depending how I paid.
I claimed through PayPal and got my money back after a week.:)
I have bought other batches of Next vouchers though with no problem and will probably carry on but check more carefully what the seller has sold before etc and stick to small amounts.

Thanks Warby..... I always check the seller's feedback and what they have sold before, prior to bidding.... I am a chicken when it comes to ebay, so am always very cautious...

I do too - this seller had lots of good feedback but hadn't sold vouchers that I could see. I suspect it was a genuine account that had been 'hijacked' in some way.
