Read a mixture of reviews on the Wynfield on International Drive. Have you been, if so - what's it like?

We realise it isn't the Hilton standard but when we trecked round the parks all day, just want a place to 'crash'.

I believe that there are nearby (walking distance) eating places.

As we have booked a hire car (and hope to save on parking fees) is it walking distance to any of the ID parks - Seaworld, Universal etc?

Anything else worth noting or worthy of a mention - discounts available etc?

Help much appreciated.

Hi Fudge, we stayed here, family of 3 back in 2004. The hotel is like a motel. The room had double beds x2 and was ok for space, but in no ways massive. It was clean, and there was a maid service each day. What I liked best about this hotel was we were on the ground floor, and you could park your car right outside your room, which was excellent for getting our son in to bed when tired. The other plus for this, was you could order takeaway and have it delivered straight to your room from local companies.

There was a Flippers (Pizza) and a chinese next door, and sea world was behind the opposite hotel which you cut through to walk to. So you should be able to get to Aquatica as well!! For Universal walk around the corner and catch the Iride up International drive to sve on parking.

Also whilst their kids ate free at restaurant next door.

Overall it was good, as you say no Hilton, but in Florida you spend so little time at your hotel that it was more suitable, and in some ways gave you more Freedom than others, with it being like a motel, as you don't have to pass through reception.

Any other questions please ask!!

We stayed at the Farifield Inn(by marriot) which is similar in price to the wynfield and thought it was great. Its just a few 100 yards off I drive so nice and quiet.

It is rated on trip advisor as the No 1 in orlando.

I would second that. I have stayed at this hotel and it is great value for money. I usually find Fairfield Inns to be great value and you get a complimentary breakfast too. I have not stayed at the Wynfield but a friend has and she was not impressed.
