For that much we might as well get the Christmas turkey from Marks

Either that or all becomes Christmas vegetarians in protest :D

can't be bootiful at that price or whatever he said - I remember seeing an article about workers allegedly playing cricket with the turkeys last year and it put me right off

The M&S to order turkeys are pretty much the same price as last year.

It's probably at that price so they can show massive reductions in a few weeks time (when people will actually be buying them) and make it look like they are doing us a great deal!

The power of marketing lol!

It might be that they have to have them at that price for a week to enable them to "reduce" them to a bargain price ;)

Whats the betting they will be "half price" very soon...

Just ordered my turkey from M&S and their christmas catalogue states prices held from last year. Wonder if Mr T will be able to claim the same?

lidl had a turkey crown in their freezer section for ?7.99.
Would have bought except I've already got my turkey in the freezer.

I bought a 6.2 kg turkey at Farm Foods yesterday for ?15.95 which helped to make up my ?50 spend to use a ?5 off coupon.

If you have a few of the 40p off coupons you could buy 2 legs, a pack of breast and a pack of thigh meat and parcel it all up together to roast.

i think we all take the price of meat for granted, just think it is a life of an animal and it seems sad a chicken's life is only worth ?1.99. perhaps ?50 is reasonable:eek:
and before you ask, i'm not a veggie and i do but cheap chickens:o
yep a hypocrite!
