Does this mean a reduction in security cameras?

Seems a bit OTT to me!
I can understand the counter terrorism risk, officers who work in this area don't even have to give names, simply collar numbers.
Interesting article though.

Where i am i dont think policemen show up and stay long enough for a photograph to be taken.

They do if you have a camera and taking their picture.
But when being mugged or knifed they are never to be seen.

and shutter speeds arnt quick enough to catch them as they wizz past in their cars.
