Just had my booking confirmation through that I got one of the £9.50 European Sun holidays!!
4 of us are going to Le Bois Masson for Whit Week for £24
Brilliant!!
Now all I need is the cheapest and easiest way to get there please if anyone has any advice?? Would probably like to take the car as it's easier when we're there :)
Thanks

I stayed there in August it was lovely, I travelled by Brittany Ferries. Why dont you call euro tunnel, P & O and Brittany etc and see who gives you the best price.

I managed to bag one of these hols at Eurocamp on Costa Blanca for a week in July. The total for a week came to £120 for 4 people. I then got an invoice through from Eurocamp for £45 which was to cover entertainment passes, etc. Also got 1p flights with Ryanair (which in reality came to £245). Still a bargain tho' for 4 people for a week on the Med in July!
So, your £24 invoice is probably for entertainment passes maybe:confused:?

It is quite a long drive I'm afraid but it's worth it as you are going on hol :clap2:, we had two little ones with us 2 and under but thankfully they slept lots. We set sail at 6am in the morning and we eventually arrived at the campsite at 9.30pm but we would have been there at least 30 mins earlier but we got a bit lost and there was a lot of traffic on a bridge which added at least 40 mins. So you are looking at a long journey.

Hmmmmm! Is now looking like it's gonna be pricey whith ferry crossings etc :(
Dover to calais cheap enough, but that's nearly an 8 hour drive the other side  No way am I doing that!! and on the return journey!!
St Malo closer but very expensive and long ferry journey. flights really expensive and hard to find to Nantes too :(
Bet we can't go after all that!!!

We stayed there a good fw years ago when my boys were young. We did either the overnight ferry to St Malo or Cherbourg day crossing. It is about 4 hrs straight driving from there. We used to stop at St Nazire (sp?) at a hypermarket for a rest and shopping.
Le Bois Masson was a lovely wooded site. A little way from the beach but lovely :) The beaches in that region are great too. We visited an island called Ile de Noirmoutier. I loved our French camping hols :D Go and enjoy :maldives-wine:

8 hours does sound a lot,but if you break it up with lots of stops ?
or could even leave a day earlier ,and stay overnight half way down
in a formulae 1 or other similar cheapy hotel

We went here in May last year with the sun. It was lovely great pool. Entertainment at night was dire though. We used the Caen ferry which takes about 4 hours. The roads are great over there. Have you priced it up using the leaflet from the sun ?

yes, don't they normally offer subsidised ferry crossings as part of these promotions? I'm hoping to book one of these next year as all our hols are planned for this year. I hope they run the promo again!

Dont forget it you are using the toll roads they can add onto your cost - they are brilliant though and well worth the money
