Help renting a cheap van for the weekend in UK

Anyone have any insights into who can offer cheap van rental from Friday night to Saturday night (I get the impression from current searching that I'll have to have one til Monday).

Or any codes for rental firms etc? Thanks:)

small independent companies are better than the big corporates - hired a van on a Friday night and we were able to return on the Saturday with smaller company - also hell of a lot cheaper - local YP is a good starting point - or even local "man with van" if its just stuff you want shifting

Daily milage may be the problem with a short hire

I have used Sixt for vans a couple of times, they are always clean and well repaired. Would recommend them.
They were the cheapest when I last needed one and will do one way hire if you can get down there another way.
