Dear Kerry,

Thank you for entering our competition and I am sorry there has been a delay in informing you, this has been due to a change of personnel at head office.
If you could let me have your postal address and contact number we will send you by recorded delivery your prize of £500 worth of Early Learning Vouchers.
Congratulations again!

Thankyou so much everyone, had to share I am so proud of him.
I must have entered the competition a long time ago as I have had a laptop for at least four months and the picture is not saved on here but on our old computer which is in a box in the loft.
As soon as OH gets home though I will get him to find the picture so I can put it up here.
I still can't believe it, you never really expect to win competitions like that as everyone thinks their child is wonderful and to be honest everytime I see peoples avators of children they are always lovely and likewise when you look at the entries for these type of competitions you always see a ton of entries that if you are honest you think could stand a chance.
OMG just called my family, and texting OH so he can call me when he stops for lunch. He will be thrilled and will tell all the kids in his class.

Thankyou so much everyone. I'm all repped out but I will rep you when I get more.
I've looked on every page of the ELC website so I know what sorts of things the boys would like.
I'm going to keep some vouchers back for christmas though, like someone sensibly advised, as the boys have loads of toys anyway so much so that I had already bought a box of 10 cars and a bath toy from Tesco and was planning to just give Joshy that for his birthday and take him to Playzone.
Where they are so close in age they play with exactly the same toys, so almost everything you buy you know both will use.

Congrats - that's lovely news.
My Charlotte won a baby pic comp and we got £300 of Huggies vouchers. When you go to spend the vouchers, you can get an extra buzz by telling the cashier how you got them. It normally makes them coo over Charlotte and she laps it up. Might not work if you're buying presents and Joshua isn't there though!

I think vouchers are the best prize, the choosing part is so lovely.
I think there are some Early Learning 20% off vouchers valid until the end of April, there is bound to be someone who has a spare. I think vouchers are the same as cash so you should be able to use both - anyone confirm this?
Anyway I found some pictures so you know what to ask for.

Thankyou so much Scrumpy, I have already had a very kind offer so I'm sorted for a 20% voucher now thankyou.
I had received one as Joshys birthday is next week and I thought I wasn't going to use it so left it lying around and can only think OH has thrown it away.
Again thankyou so much for your lovely messages, we haven't done anything today but it has really brightened my day. I think it's because the competition was for Joshy and I know they are going to absolutely love choosing some new toys in there.
I looked around to see who and where this competition was posted, but could only find one with a £100 ELC vouchers so for whoever who posted it thankyou.

Wooo hooo, well done our princess.... I am sooooo chuffed for you. I think I tracked down the comp as well - ELC vouchers (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1036945&highlight=elc+vouchers) comp -. I linked to it on your I won thread as well for you.
I also still have Catrinas 20% voucher handy, if you need it, as I am defo not going to be spending that much in ELC.
You can even get the TP climbing frames, etc, via ELC I am sure, and they have some lovely stuff normally.

Thankyou everyone, I think I did the Bubble picture on Bounty once a long time ago but it wasn't that one it looks like this was just chose by the company.
Thankyou Mamzie, you are right I'm sure thats the one. This competition actually ended in August last year  no wonder the lady was apologising about the delay.
I was wondering when I entered it as I couldn't for the life of me remember doing one anytime recently.

Thankyou again Mamzie, without a doubt I would have got them a wooden playframe for the garden but I bought one when we first moved into this house, and I would have got them a big connect four for the garden as they love them but they are so expensive but ELC dont do them anyway. So it looks like we will be getting a fort / castle, possibly a kitchen, some farm animals and a farm.
I think I will be okay for the 20% voucher thankyou, apparently they are on Muller Little Stars packs at present lol.

Thankyou everyone, I would have repped but I ran out ages ago.
A very kind PTS'er is sending me a 20% voucher from a Muller Little Stars pack, so the boys will be able to have a fair bit extra from the vouchers.
You are right, I haven't really been entering competitions recently infact very few since christmas, so it makes it even more unexpected and welcome. Whenever I win anything it gives me a kick up the bum to start entering them again lol.

Just looked in ELC today and Joshy was really excited and was touching everything, and I thought I was going to have a problem with him leaving but no problem at all. So then we went into Wilkinsons still talking about the dinosaurs we had just seen in ELC, and I bought him a 99p bin for his bedroom which he wore on his head almost all the way around town, regularly telling me and his nanny that he was a ''binhead'' and it was ''on me head''.
Like how much fun can you have with a clear bin on your head lol. Who needs ELC vouchers. :noidea: He He!
tiger
10th March 2009, 21:18
I can just picture it.
It's like when the boxes at Christmas are just as much fun as the presents inside.
princesskerry
10th March 2009, 22:16
Lol it was really funny, I should treasure moments like that as they are so innocent. In a few years time a bin isn't going to amuse him in the same way.
We have one of those kids bins with the swinging tigers head lid in Jaydens bedroom, and Josh and Jayden both wear it as a hat sometimes even pushing their head right through so it is around their neck and the bin (swinging part) covers half of their face.
Zaul
10th March 2009, 22:24
Wonder if he'll be a binman?:D(Sorry couldnt resist.)
Kids eh?DD got a Ty lobster (she used to call it her Lompster) with a happy meal many years ago and lost it in town one day.She was devistated.Eventually I chatted up one of the McDs staff to hunt out another for her-this just as the promo ended so no mean feat-and of course after the initial Thanks she never looked at the blooming thing again.Just recently dropped it in a bag for the charity shop:rolleyes:

No he wont be a binman, he is going to be the voice of lifts. You know the annoying voice that says ''door opening'' and ''first floor'', he loves them and copies everything they say. Not sure which I would rather he took up.
