What do you value airmiles at

Airmiles 1000 = 150
Ebay around 110 per 1000
MSE values them at 80 per 1000

How much do you think is max value?.
thanks

Airmiles (the company) redeemed them against holidays etc at 60 per 1,000 miles, but I think that redemption ratio may have been reduced.

It is a bit like asking 'how long is a piece of string' after the literal answer that FC gave gives way to individual perception.

For example, I got the (now finished) Tesco rewards double up when converting so the cost to me is effectively what it cost me, 2.50 for 120 miles. Some will accrue them for nil cost with a credit card so to them the cost of them is nothing! Others will pay the current conversion rates (2.50 Rewards for 50 miles I think?) Some use them against package holidays, some feel they get better value against short haul flights, some against ferries.....

I'm not sure what you are asking really?

For holidays etc the value is fixed at c 5.5p. For flight redemptions with non-BA airlines, you also get c 5.5p because Air Miles buys the ticket for cash. For BA, you are likely to get better value because they use Air Miles to dump unsold seats with less regard to the underlying flight cost.

I was quoted 50 per 1000 last month so I paid cash:eek:.
They did price match the Thomson web price though.

I was trying to work this out this morning as well and came up with the following:

2.50 in Clubcard Vouchers = 50 Air Miles
Therefore 50.00 in Clubcard Vouchers = 1000 Air Miles
1000 Air Miles = 55.00 discount so you only get an extra 10% above face value on your vouchers when you can get upto 4x face value or 400%.

It does not seem to offer good value to me.

It doesn't, and to be fair it was never recommended on PTS as something you should do. Only during the 'double up' promotion did it become attractive.
