View Full Version : Free Palace of Westminster and Big Ben Clock Tower tours

I found this out by accident when I was planning our family trip to London in August.
UK residents can apply for free tours via their MP or a Lord.
I emailed my MP and he's booked us onto both tours. The clock tower tour is only available booking this way so really is something a bit different.
Numbers are limited and you have to be in good health to do the clock tower. Security searches apply for both tours, no cameras, mobiles etc. http://www.parliament.uk/visiting/visiting-and-tours/

I have had a tour around Westmister and the Houses of Parliament and it is really quite interesting - we did not climb the clock tower but this was a few years ago

You are not allowed to sit on the green seats where the MP sit - I did try x

I didn' tknow you could do the clock tower but we've been round the HOP and it was very interesting - we had a fantastic guide
