Slightly off topic, but do they take Credit cards?? as Aldi didn't/don't??
There are lots of good buys in Lidl (and Aldi) but most of them are for little-known brands, or own label. Is anybody interested in keeping a thread going about branded bargains from Lidl - somewhere we could have a quick look at before setting out on a shopping trip. Here's a start from my today's excursion:
500g spreadable Lurpak is £1.50 (perhaps we should have all run off to Lidl's instead of Tesco)
Foxs Crunch Creams are only 30p
Gales squeezy honey is £1.15
6 cans of Pepsi Max are £1
Phillips 11w (60w) screw or bayonet lights 5 for 50p
4 pts milk 99p

Weight loss total: 4 stone 8lb! at the top of target range oops!
I've recently found Lidl excellent for their flat pack furniture as well. I've recently bought a glass topped coffee table in walnut with 2 drawers for £24.99 and was very impressed with the quality and how easy it was to make (german precision?).
I also bought a canvas type covered wardrobe for £9.99 that is tubular steel but again is very solid and well made. Great for kids to take to Uni or even for camping etc
Will definitely keep an eye out for other furniture offers in the future.
