Default racing pidgeon in my garden for 2 days!

there is a pidgeon in my garden that has a tag thingy on each leg so i presume it is a racing pidgeon and it has just been sat around for 2 days!

should i just leave it or report it?

    thanks x

I have just asked my OH - font of all knowledge and he says if it goes back to the owner it will get its neck rung

So it might be better to let it live in your garden

Guess the owner would not want to keep it if it had failed to race properly. Best you just keep an eye on it.

oh dear, the poor thing, it already looks like someone has had a go at his neck as it is all ruffled, the bird is eating but most of the time just sits under our patio table looking in the house!

Have you put some water out for him ? Sure I read somewhere recently how they like to clean themselves and he probably fancies a bath !
