Thread: Christmas Market - (Frankfurt)

    Default Christmas Market - (Frankfurt)

Am taking my daughters (11, 14) to the Christmas market in Frankfurt.

Has anyone been before?? or got any tips??

I have already got a Frankfurt card which I understand gives free travel on public transport and discounts in various places but was just after some pointers. We arrive there on the Friday morning and come home on the Saturday evening. Thx

Know nothing about it, but it sounds great. Can you do a write up when you get back?

Leeds apparently have a great market - might try and venture over one lunchtime - although apparently there is free booze!

My only tip would be to take plenty of warm clothing, hats, gloves, scarfs, earmuffs etc as it can get very cold.

We went to Cologne a couple of years ago and it was wonderful. Hope you have a fab time.

I'd better have a look round the UK then and see what's going on. Anybody else know of some other places?

In the meantime, Janice, have a great time!

Bath - and a beautiful place too.
Those who think they know it all are very annoying to those of us who actually do.

I went a couple of years ago and didn't really rate it. I'm sure it looked lovely in the dark with all the Christmas lights etc, but I found all the stalls very samey, not to mention very expensive.
