    Thanks for the replies
Las Vegas will be something totally different for us as we normally holiday in cities with lots to see and do.
The Flamingo will be a no no as I can't tolerate any air fresheners, car ones give me migraines

What about the Bellagio and Ceasars Palace?

Steve I noticed you can pay the BA balance bit by bit
Would be great if they do take pay.com

The inside of the Ventian is actually quite good. Ok so it's no Venice, but I was very impressed by the canals and the square!
Hiring a car for Vegas is highly recommended. Much cheaper than taxis and avoids the bun fight getting on the bus that goes up and down the strip.
I stayed at 4 separate Hilton properties last time, as I was chasing a Diamond status challenge!

If the check in queue is long have a look for check in machines hidden by the pillar. If you have to queue up behind you is the total rewards desk take it in turns along with passport along and join up. I am not sure of the latest promo but may be $5 credit. When gambling, eating or drinking hand over card at TR properties.

Does BA holidays take pay.com still?
    Yes they do

    Thank you

We never hire a car not even on our recent trip from the Sydney to the Blue mountains, love public transport and the bun fights I will suggest it but is likely to be a no no

it is also very easy to use the regular buses for off strip, to casinos like the palms or rio
the bus that runs up and down the strip is called the deuce

Caesers is overpriced and has very poor customer service, also very smoky and smells musty. Huge queues and very busy (we were there in May so not even peak season).

Interiors are getting tatty and even though it was supposed to be one of the better grade rooms it ws no better than a standard Marriott. Also coffee machine was provided but they charged $14 for a pk of 4 coffee pods to go in it. Could get them from Walgreens next day but a real P in the A when you first arrive.

We spent a week there earlier this year for work and I hated it.

I have previously stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in LV and if I ever have to go back, I won't chose to do so, I wouldnt consider anywhere else. It is non-smoking and non-gambling and has the usual great MO service

I guess you are a hater not a lover.
We will avoid Ceasars Palace then as smoky and musty wouldn't be for me.
Mandarin would be good for me but not for the rest of the party.

I enjoyed it the first time, it was over Christmas whilst it was cooler and quieter, but May was so busy you could hardly walk on the strip and the heat was deadly.

If you dont want to be in the casino or at the pool there isnt much else to do. The Mob Museum was a good afternoon though and the helicopter trip to/from the canyon was great.

All of the hotels are smokey because as it is still allowed indoors everwhere, make sure to book and insist on a non-smoking room, I was first given a smoking one at check in at CP until I asked specifically about it.

Aria seemed OK when I was first there, there is a monorail station too.
