Default vaccuum cleaner advice

my vac is nearly on its last legs (well it is about 25 years old!) so we have been looking online to see what else is around. we have a miele washer and that is excellent so we were wondering about that make , what does everyone else have and does anyone have any reccomendations? as always many thanks for your help (i want something peticularly want something LIGHT as mine weighs a ton)

I've always gone for a Dyson - not everyones favourite - I've had 2 in 20 years.

Miele are an excellent make - - I would plump for them every time

You're right Daisy - - When Dyson launched I bought one, to replace it in three years - and had nothing but probs with the second one - - and it's not as if was over-used either - getting my OH to clean is a trial in itself!

Ive got dyson, never had any probs with it & its been going for 11 years
But i believe miele are fab, but that would also be reflected in the price!!

I've had Dysons for as long as they have been out.... Until 2 months ago. I bought a Miele cat and dog hoover. WOW I can't believe how good it is. I actually enjoy the hoovering now as it sucks up every hair and rubbish that the dogs bring in. The suction on it is so good it actually sticks to the carpet at times

we'v been and had a look today and we are going with the miele, not sure which one yet but going to try a cylinder one i think as it won't be as heavy, many thanks to everyone
